Trip with Israel Magen Fund

Join Israel Magen Fund
for an action-packed and fun family day-out!

Thursday, October 6th

Our English-speaking guide will take you back 3,500 years, to Ancient Shiloh, the site where the Mishkan rested for 369 years and the first capital of the Israelite kingdom. Here, we will enjoy a multimedia sound and light show and explore the fascinating archeological remains at the site.

From here, we continue to the vineyards in the Shiloh valley for a fun family experience. The kids will travel through the vineyards on an open cart pulled by a tractor, stopping to harvest grapes from the vine. Together, we will make grape juice, with each participant taking home a bottle of grape juice. And as for the adults – they can join the family grape-pressing, or enjoy wine-tasting at the Gva’ot Winery.

We will end our day at Israel’s first nature reserve – Um Zafa Park.  Here, after a delicious picnic lunch (provided by Israel Magen Fund) in a succah, we will hear about the Biblical exploits of Yehoshua in this place, as well as those of the Jewish Brigade (Hagdud Haivri) in the First World War.

And, of course, we save the best till last – a first-of-its-kind, hands-on demonstration by the Binyamin Security Division volunteers of the specially-adapted ATVs and drones provided by the Israel Magen Fund. We will hear the real-life stories behind these awesome vehicles and technology. How they are used to secure homes and settlements during terror attacks; how they fight arson and bush fires deep in the hilly terrain and how they save lives on an almost daily basis. And we will get the chance to take a ride in these unique ATVs…
