about
tzevet hatzalah
The Beit Shemesh Hatzalah Team (Tzevet Hatzalah) are a unique team of volunteer EMTs, paramedics and ambulance drivers in MDA Israel, working within MDA to provide a fast, local response to life-threatening medical emergencies for more than a decade. About 50 dedicated, trained volunteer first responders are saving lives, daily, in Beit Shemesh, working under rabbinic guidelines.
With its fast-growing population, there is a real need for a local first response force in Beit Shemesh. The Beit Shemesh Hatzalah Team volunteers live and work in these communities and are – literally – best-placed to deliver that help when and where it is needed. This often means that they are first on the scene, administering lifesaving first aid even before the ambulance arrives.
The Beit Shemesh Hatzalah Team does not receive any financial support from any government body and relies solely on private donors to fund the purchase of urgently needed medical supplies.
